2022 Grantees

October 12, 2022

In 2021, we received our first seed funding from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative–a $350 million commitment to advance criminal justice reform across the country. This grant included an unprecedented $109 million in 501(c)4 funding to help fill a historic dearth of (c)4 resources to the reform field. After spending much of 2021 building our strategy and operations, we began making our first grants in March of 2022. By the end of the year, we will have moved over 200 grants totaling more than $54 million. The lion’s share of these dollars were foundational (c)3 grants, with a handful of early (c)4 contributions largely for legislative advocacy work. Here is a comprehensive list of our 2022 grantee partners to date.
